Whoa! The word I caught myself uttering over and over as I watched the advanced footage of Jurassic World. Where every sequel has failed since the original Jurassic Park was released 22 years ago, Jurassic World has succeeded. Do I dare say that Jurassic World has the potential to exceed the original Jurassic Park? Yes, I do. This film appears to be the blockbuster of all blockbusters this summer. The island of Isla Nublar, where the original Jurassic Park took place, is now home to the theme park Jurassic World. And, if you are a fan of the book, you would recall that Isla Nublar is annihilated by the local government. But, hey this is the movies and they have a tendency to change the ending, much like the fate of Matt Hooper in Jaws – the first summer blockbuster ever – so sequels can be created. I am not usually a fan of 3D but I have got to think that Jurassic World in 3D is going to have many pre-teens dirtying those whiteys of theirs.
